Over a decade ago, NOVA began in the simplest way possible—with a friend asking for help. One afternoon, a close buddy called me because his door had broken and he didn’t know who to trust to fix it. I grabbed my toolbox, stopped by his place, and got it working again in no time. He was so relieved, he joked, “You should do this for a living.”
Not long after, another friend needed help mounting a TV. Then another had trouble putting together a set of shelves. Before I knew it, word had spread that I was the “go-to guy” for small fixes, assemblies, and installations. What started out as casual favors slowly revealed a much bigger truth: there were countless people across Los Angeles who needed reliable help for the little jobs that make a home safe, functional, and comfortable.
That realization planted the seed for NOVA. I saw firsthand how much stress people carried when faced with tasks like fixing a leaky faucet, assembling furniture, or painting a room. These jobs might not seem huge on their own, but they can eat up precious time and energy. I wanted to create a service that made those tasks simple, stress-free, and—most importantly—trustworthy.
Over the years, NOVA has grown from helping a few friends into serving neighborhoods all across Southern California. From Malibu’s coastlines to the busy streets of North Hollywood, from the relaxed vibes of Venice Beach to the family homes in Torrance and Palos Verdes—we’ve built strong connections in every corner of our community. Along the way, our list of services expanded, too: painting, repairs, installations, and even specialized discounts for things like IKEA furniture assembly and TV mounting.
But NOVA has never been just about fixing things. For us, it’s about people. It’s about being a trusted face you can call when something needs attention. And it’s about giving back to the same community that has supported us since day one. With the help of our loyal customers, we dedicate time to helping local schools, community centers, and neighbors in need. Whether it’s repairing a classroom shelf or fixing something at a nonprofit, we believe even small contributions can make a big difference.
What started more than ten years ago as one friend’s broken door has grown into something much greater: a business built on reliability, kindness, and community spirit. At NOVA, our mission is simple—help people live better by taking care of the little things, one project at a time.
